Scott,
You did a real nice job on the Travel Sourcing 101. I thought it was very informative and consise. I am sure it will used and definitely will make people want to look at the other screencasts you have planned. So you are finally going to get that book written now? I remember you saying you wanted to do that all those years ago with ATK while you were helping us at Lilly.
Do you see yourself doing consulting or doing this from an industry altruistic objective at this stage of your career? Also, and more importantly, how is your golf handicap?
I look forward to seeing more of your travel procurement items in the future.
Best regards,
George
Hi George,
Glad you liked the screencast! These are fun to produce, and are about as close as I’ll get to writing a traditional book – at least for now. Translated: The weather’s too good, golf is getting in the way until late fall!
Like golf, these screencasts are a hobby for now…just a good way to give something back, and to keep my options open for consulting work down the road.
Hope all is well with you, and trust that you’ll agree that consulting is a whole lot easier than managing!
Best regards, Scott

+1
Thanks, Barny. The Travel 101 screencast was fun to do. Regarding the book – I’ve taken the blog route over writing a book. This blog is so much more flexible. Hope you’ll contribute some time. Those days at Lilly were fun, and I sure learned a lot from George Odom and his crew.
