Yvonne Kerns Wins ACTE Award

Yvonne Kerns, Global Travel Manager for CIBC, the large Canadian bank, was honored by the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) last week.  ACTE gave Yvonne its Ambassador Award, the highest honor the association can bestow upon one of its members in the region. The award recognizes invaluable and sustained service to or on behalf of the association and the business travel industry.

Having had the pleasure of speaking with Yvonne last week, I can vouch for her credentials in travel procurement.  She has achieved excellent results in her efforts to control travel costs by paying close attention to her data and to her stakeholders.

It’s great to see travel category professionals share their time and expertise.  Congratulations, Yvonne!

  1. Having had the pleasure of being married to Yvonne for 33 years I can tell you she keeps the same watchful eye on her personal life, which is why I don’t get away with anything.

I was so proud of her receiving the award. I know the time and effort she has given to ACTE, and it was nice to see they recognized it as well. This type of recognition is rare in any industry, so well done ACTE!

  2. Congratulations Yvonne! I am so proud of you and having had the honour of working with you for a number of years, I know you truly deserve this award. You are one of the most professional, hard working and dedicated travel managers I know. CIBC is lucky to have you.
